I'm running a PC tower with the following specs:

  • MOBO: Asus ProArt Z490-CREATOR 10G (LGA1200)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 10700K @ 3.80GHz
  • RAM: 64.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1600MHz
  • GPU: 8176MB ATI AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT
  • C Drive:  465GB Samsung SSD 970 EVO NVME 500GB
  • G Adobe Drive: 232GB Samsung SSD 980 NVME 250GB

So, can someone tell my why Adobe is running super slow?

Hello @hectorc76258646,

We understand how frustrating it can be to experience performance issues with Illustrator, especially on a computer that meets/exceeds the system requirements.

Would you mind trying the suggestions shared in this help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/optimize-illustrator-performance.html) and checking if it helps?

Also, try performing a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and setting the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-110), and running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows) and sharing your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Is this all Illustrator files or only some files? If only som efiles look for things that can slow the program down:

  • 3D effects and raster effects,
  • Large raster objects (imported images or rasterized drawings),
  • Embedded images,
  • Use of large font files (large font files usually have very complex paths that use a lot of processing to render).

Also please provide your versions of Illustrator and your OS.
