adobe illsutrator 28.3 bugs

Hi All,

I recently started using a Wacom tablet. The Illustrator application is buggy. Sometimes, the Wacom pen is not responsive or there is a lag between brush strokes. Sometimes, the app just crashes or gets slow and just freezes. The Wacom tablet works fine with paint and other basic software. Any idea why the latest Illustrator is so glitchy? My Windows 11 is up-to-date. laptop specs are 32GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce RTX-4060. I have no idea how much memory this app requires. If you contact Adobe they just keep wasting time and do not fix anything. Any ideas as to what is happening? Also, today when I was trying to export the asset from Illustrator the JPG colors were saved fine but the PNG images are turning very dark and not even close to the colors I have set in Illustrator. background of PNG is set as transparent. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

Even after updating to Illustrator v 28.4.1 I am facing issues with my Wacom tablet. When I am drawing in Illustrator using my Wacom tablet, it starts scrolling and flashing uncontrollably on zooming in and out. Only after I remove the tablet does it start working. Illustrator seems to be working with my mouse. Any ideas how to fix it? My Windows 11 is up-to-date. I even reset it and reinstalled all the apps but it did not fix this bug. Windows Ink is off in Wacom. My video files size is too big to attach.

Is your Wacom tablet running the latest driver for Windows? The current version is 6.4.5-5. Usually it would be best for a Wacom tablet to be using the latest driver. But there have been times where the latest Wacom driver has caused problems and users have had to roll back to an earlier version.

The Wacom web site's driver page has links to both the current driver for Windows and MacOS as well as links to previous, older drivers.

Just for the heck of it, I'll repeat how I really hate Windows Ink due to how it horribly affects the functions of a Wacom tablet. Wacom needs to develop a graphics tablet driver that completely bypasses Windows Ink entirely. I can't use any of the pressure sensitive functions of my Wacom tablet because it requires Windows Ink to be enabled. But enabling Windows Ink just unleashes a torrent of other anger-inducing problems. My solution: whip out the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and do the pressure sensitive related work using that.

Yes, I have the latest Wacom driver installed! I recently did a Windows reset and reinstalled everything. Wacom does not believe there are any issues with its driver, so I am not sure about it. Also, I do not have an iPad to test anything.

Can you try and turn off Windows Ink?

It is Windows 11. Receiving error 'gpedit.msc' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
