Adobe Illustrator Issues running on a Mac Studio M4 Max

I'm having issues with Abobe Illustrator (30.1) running on a Mac Studio M4 Max (48GB) , OS 26.2 (Tahoe).

Having searched on google it appears this as been an issue for some time.

When I expand a text box by dragging points or move a object by dragging. The text box or object jumps and this action also peforms an undo function. I.e you loose the last few steps.

If i toggle off the GPU performance and Realtime drawing it resolves the issue but Illustrator is very laggy, not really usable. If I toggle these settings back on it's O.K. for 30mins then the problem returns.

I know I only have 48Gb of ram but that should be ok surely, It seems to be an issue with the GPU.

All my other software works like a dream so i don't think it's a hardware issue.

Any ideas?

Yes, I think so. Adobe haven't kept this page current as Sequoia isn't the 'Latest' OS. Tahoe is, that said I had the same issue with Sequoia. When I searched on google it revealed very similar issues going back a few years, since the introduction of the Apple Silicon GPU.

how can you read the specs and not notice the processor requirement?
