Adobe Illustrator Not Working

Question

I have a major issue with Illustrator not working properly and not able to do the most simple tasks like 'save as'. It looks like it is 'thinking constatnly while in the program even tho the file is small.  All other cc apps work fine as long as AI is closed. Is this common? Can I fix this? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing works. It was working great before.

WHich actions exactly slow it down?Which system?Which version?Which hardware? Especially Graphics cardAny third party plugins?Where do you save your files?What's in your files? Does it affect old files/new files? simple files?Fonts all checked and OK? Font management?Is a printer connected, set up and turned on?WHich other software is running?Did it ever work?Did you already reset the preferences?Uninstall, run the Adobe Cleaner tool, reinstall?WHich other software is running parallel?
