AI 2017 freezes when I select multiple items in my file

Working on a file, using Shift key to select multiple profiles and the software freezes.  I've tried deleting my Prefs file, still happening.  I actually opened the Help>About Illustrator option and the software froze.

Windows 7

8 GB RAM

Intel Core i7-4800MQ CPU 2.70GHz

64 bit OS

Dell Precision M4800

Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 - just performed update this morning.

Hi Mike, here is the link to a file that just crashed on me.

I contacted Support this morning and he deleted my last 3 Illustrator folders from App Data, as well as my Adobe Illustrator Presets folder.  This seemed to fix the crashing problem.

Does this problem happen only on this file, or on all files? Did this happen prior to the 2017 update?

Please create a new document, draw some shapes with one of the primitive drawing tools and let us know how that works.

It happens on all files.  It did happen with the last version I was working with but much less.  I just thought it was because I didn't save my file enough and it was using too many resources or something.  Now it happens on every file I open.

I just created a new file, added some circles and squares and then selected, deselected the shapes, grouped them, ungrouped them, made a few changes to the shapes and then it froze and crashed.

Do you have any plug ins for Illustrator or 3rd party enhancements (virus protection, clipboard enhancers, font management, etc) to Windows 7?

Do  you have atleast Service pack 1 installed on win 7?

How well does Illustrator run if you restart your computer and have no other apps but Illustrator running?
