AI 28.0 type reflowing. Please help

Question

Can open two documents with same fonts where one file  opens up fine but the other file, the type completely reflows.  Both files have same, exact, fonts in them.  Previewing the file (space bar), looks good but when open in type is everywhere.  Turned glyph option off in prefs but didn’t help.  Please any other suggestions?  This is really strange.

Thanks for reaching out. Since the same fonts behave differently across two files, could you let me know your OS version and if the issue occurs with other files as well? You might also try copying the content into a new Illustrator file to check if the type still reflows.

If possible, please share a quick screen recording or screenshots showing the file preview and how it looks when opened. Also, let me know if this is happening with a specific font, and share the name and its developer if available.
