.ai libraries added white backgrounds

I have set up an extensive CC library for my job with elements and logos, all with transparent backgrounds. Today, I noticed, that all my elements now have a white background, even though I haven't edited the individual elements. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I have found a workaround for this bizarre bug: If you export the illustrator asset as an svg, you can then open the creative cloud app and upload the svg file into your library, and it will have the transparent background as expected. Extra steps? Yes. Annoying? Yes. Is it worth the time, if you're like me, and the random white background is driving you nuts? Also yes.

P.S. Dear Adobe, please fix this bug so we can get back to the more efficient "drag into the library" method ❤️

Anyone should use a good degree of caution if using SVG files as library items for use in Adobe Illustrator. SVG lacks proper support of the CMYK color space, making it a problem for print-based use. Certain live features and effects in Illustrator-based AI files may break, be flattened or even rasterized when exported in SVG format. That would create more aggravation than a white background.

No, what do you see if you double click such an item in the libary and it opens in Illustrator?

It's transparent within Illustrator. I did notice that it's only having this issue when I use elements InDesign. In Photoshop, the elements remain transparent.

Maybe changing the Object > Display settings in InDesign will help.
