I want to send an AI file but do not want the file to be editable by the recipient. Is there a way to lock the editing capability before sending?

Hey Christina!

Save the file as a PDF straighht out of Illustrator (you can use "Save As" if you want to keep your original as an .ai file) and in the Security category, password protect the file to prevent editing.

You could send an image (but then there is always Photoshop).
