ai Temp files

When using Illustrator cc, on my Mac Pro with High Sierra 10.13.3,  periodically something called ai Temp files are downloaded to my desktop. they are between 10Mb and 300mb. How do I stop this from happening?

    Are you saving directly to a server?

    Are you working in a synched folder?

    iCloud or something?

    I think I'm saving to the desk top and the Adobe Cloud.

    There are a lot of related issues with High Sierra. Yours might not be solvable at all, but can you check if iCloud is running?
