.ai Thumbnail Preview Is a Must

It's really inconvenient to have to open Illustrator every time just to check the contents of a file.
For example, Blender recently added thumbnail previews. Even free software is doing it.

Hello @YuK1_Works,

Could you try saving your AI files with the option for Save them "Create PDF compatible file" checked to see if it helps?
Also, try using Adobe Bridge to view/manage your files (https://adobe.ly/3TCixnf) and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Anubhav,
Of course, I already have that option enabled.

Maybe “thumbnail” wasn’t the best word to use. What I really meant is that I’d like to see actual thumbnails (previews of the artwork) as icons in Windows Explorer, instead of just a generic Illustrator icon.

Blender does this, and I believe you can too—I’m hopeful Adobe will consider it.
