AI to EPS

I have a transparent ai logo which contains a shadow. If I save it as an eps, the shadow becomes a solid white area. Is there a way to fix this?

For all intents and purposes EPS is an outdated format. It has not been updated since the 1990s which is why it does not support transparency which didn't come into Illustrator until the late 1990s. Illustrator vector files should always be saved as .ai or pdf. If you choose pdf then it should be a PDF/X-4 which will retain full transparency.

    I am not sure. I did not create. I am just trying to solve the problem. The logo in question is in my email signature. I have the ai files.

    Unfortunately, the EPS file format does not support transparency.
    Use PDF format or design that does not require transparency.
