AI too busy in illustrator

ai says it's too busy to generate an image for a prompt... for days now. i did research, and was told to delete cache - i tried to run what it said %temp% to delete temp folders, I deleted all, but it didn't help. There something weird about illustrator cache - can't actually even find it in files. i'm using windows. can someone help me resolve this problem?
