ai will not open on my mac???

Can someone help me figure out why all of the sudden my ai program will not open when I click on the icon on my desktop? I recently purchased it so it's not related to needing to re-subscribe. Nothing happens when I click on the ai icon. What is going on?

So you have an alias of the app on your desktop?

What happens when you double click the app in the application folder?

And please tell us about your system and hardware?

I have a MacBook Pro, Ventura 13.2.1

When I click on the Ai application folder, nothing happens.

The folder should open and then there should be the application in it.
