All apps in the latest update are painnnnnnfulllllllly slooooowwwww!

Work in a busy marketing department and we have three artists running the creative suite - we've all noticed this most recent release is juuussssttttt soooooo paaaiiinnnffulllyyyy damn slow I can hardly get anything done at all - not to mention pop up windows at every mouse click or tool selection showing you videos or whatever, then the pre-selections of hundreds of templates. O!M!G!!

Can anyone give me some streamlined suggestions on how to speed things up - or just uninstall this latest update and move back to a previous version. Also be nice if I don't have to spend hours and hours hunting down solutions just so I can do a logo in illustrator.
