All TEXT layers get selected automatically while working

Question

Hi thereI'm using Adobe Illustrator v30.0 64-bitI've this problem happened to me throught the years while working on Adobe Illustrator multiple times, and now it happening more often;The problem is, while working on layers like dragging a shape layer then undoing, all of the text layers got selected by itself, and I can't just remove the selection by pressing outside the layers or artboards, I found out I can resize it with the bounding box handels and then undoing my step again and it will got deselected, other than that it's so annoying and takes time espicially when need to redo and undo every once in awhile so I might have the same glitch over and over In the uploaded screen-recording video, an example of it's look like where all the text layer got selected automatically while working and I'm trying to click outside to deselect and it's not working, also I had here a new glitch where I tried to lock the selected text layers and didn't get deselected so i tried to do the resizing technuiqe and the layers stays on the new resizing proportions while also being unlocked and I can't undo this change I've tried to and that's because it actually got glitchedAlso can't find a solution online so I decided to discuss it here so all can cooperate and others might have the same issue

@Hasan Ghanem In my Illustrator Preferences (Type), I have Type Object Selection by Path Only unchecked. What this does, is that you have to click the actual baseline of the text to select it. This prevents the "Global Selection" bug from grabbing all text boxes accidentally.

With regards to the Bounding Box, you can turn it off; wait a few minutes and turn it back on; hopefully that kinda clears the cache... or if you want to go 'nuclear' you can clear the Illustrator preferences in the 'Preferences dialog box' but it will reset everything like brushes and workspaces.

Thanks for sharing the screen recording and sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. I tested the same scenario on Windows 11 with Illustrator 30.1 on my end, but I wasn't able to reproduce the issue. To help narrow this down further, could you please confirm which operating system you're currently using and whether this happens in all files or only specific documents? It would also help to know if you see the same behavior in a brand-new document created from scratch, or only in existing files.

As a next step, please try resetting Illustrator preferences manually using the steps shared in this help article and the video below, then test again to see if the selection behavior persists.

If the issue still occurs after resetting preferences, please confirm whether you're working in a custom workspace or one of the default Illustrator workspaces. Try switching between them and let me know if the behavior remains consistent.
