All the possible ways to remove an image background in Illustrator

Hi Community,

 

I'm writing an article with ALL the possible ways to remove an image background in Adobe Illustrator. 

 

Currently, I have these methods: 

 

Image Trace

Pen Tool

 

Are there any additional ways to remove an image background in Illustrator? Please share them. 

 

PS. I know that it's easier to do it in Photoshop, but I'm interested only in Adobe Illustrator for now.

    What kind of image?

    What are you classing as 'pen tool'? Drawing a clipping path?
