Alt Gr typing not working in Illustrator

Typing in Illustrator, all symbols that are supposed to come while Alt Gr key is pressed are not working in Illustrator. Most commonly i notice it wehen  I try to type š key. Now I wanted to type € sign. @ and everything else not happening either. It has been a problem for a long time.
This is very silly situation when I have to write these letters in notepad and copy paste it into Illustrator.
It used to nothing at all. Now it activates Alt+Ctrl shortcuts.
No third party plugins. No other program does that.

    There are a couple of apps interfering with modifier keys in Illustrator. So far the following have been identified to do that:

     

    • WebRoot
    • Apple Terminal
    • Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • »Enable Full Keyboard« in Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard on Mac OS
    • Apple Mail, Outlook
    • Spacebar is used as a shortcut by the system
    • Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari
    • Wacom Desktop Center, Wacom settings
    • Windows Touch Pad problem
    • LastPass, Bitwarden (password managers)
    • The VPN
    • LangSwitcher app (it needs to be closed and disabled)

      Hello @Sorontar,

      We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. I hope Monika's suggestions helped resolve the problem. If not, would you mind trying to run Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps? Also, try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.
