Alt-text to vector images not working as expected

Hi there,

I'm working on a report, in InDesign, where I dropped charts that were created in Illustrator.

The final PDF (exported from InDesing) needs to be accessible and therefore I am adding Alt-text to the charts describing the results. When I export the PDF, Acrobat recognises the Alt-text, but it also reads out-load any text within the AI file. This means all of the labels and keys that are linked to the chart are being picked up by Acrobat. Is there a way to stop this, so Acrobat only reads out load the Alt-text?

I really want to keep the charts as AI files so any suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks

Nope, sorry.

I would put that question on the Acrobat forum. You can tag it with "Accessibility" to get it to the experts https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/ct-p/ct-acrobat?page=1&sort=latest_replies&filter=all&tabid=all

You will need to fix that in Acrobat (or even additional software).
