Alternate glyphs not working in Illustrator

Hello. I have a problem: ITC Avant Garde alternate glyphs are not working in Illustrator for some reason, but in Photoshop everything is alright. And funny thing is that any other font in Illustrator is fine, the problem is only with the Avant Garde.

    Reinstalling the Illustrator solved this problem 🙂

      Could the font be corrupt? Illustrator is usually the first application to react to corrupt fonts while other apps just do not care. Also: do you use font management?

        Thanks. I've reinstalled this font from Adobe Fonts like 2 or 3 times and the problem is still the same. I don't use font managament
