Anchor Point Visibilty Issues Illustrator 28.0

Every so often all the anchor points of a selected path become greyed out and nearly invisible. I noticed this while working on redrawing a complex auto-traced illustration but don't know if the complexity of the file is the cause of the problem or not.

This issue seems to be more of an annoyance rather than a catastrophic bug: It goes away when Illustrator is restarted but returns after an hour or so. The same issue has been reported several times but I'm reporting it again to see if there is a clear solution for this version of Illustrator. (Of course, I'd prefer not to have to restart at all.)

I've since learned that this issue is NOT random and does not seem to be related to the complexity of the file. The anchor point visibility changes upon entering isolation mode and this change persists after exiting isolation mode. The same issue exists in Illustrator version 27.9 as well. The View menu option "View Using CPU" becomes greyed out at the same time.

Closing and reopening the file will restore normal anchor point visibilty: It's not necessary to quit and restart Illustrator. I do not have another computer running Adobe CC, so I do not know if the issue is specific to my OS and hardware.

Here's a screen recording showing the issue affecting a very simple file consisting of two rectangles, a line of text and a placed image:

Hey there. Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind sharing a screen recording of the steps leading up to the problem (https://adobe.ly/3N5OHVo), so we can investigate this further?
