Angular Dimension not always working

Something stange happening here. I'm working on a diagram in which I need to dimension three angles. I can get two to work but not the third. The other strange thing is that all three had worked previously but I needed to reset the line weight of the dimension line so I deleted the dimensions to redo. Now, one of them won't dimension.

I'm using Illustrator 28.5 on MacOs 14.4.1.

Any insight is much appreciated.

I rebuilt the diagram and now it works. Don't know what went wrong with the previous one.

agree on this, the angular dimension does not always detect the angle. Even redraw the angle/shape does not always work as well.

I've had the same issue with angles, but when I zoom in and look in outline mode, I can see it doesn't work if the paths are not touching or intersecting. So that could be why rebuilding worked for you.

Laura, thanks for chiming in. That was one of the first things that I checked and it was not the issue. Also checked that the lines were on the same layer. Still a mystery. The rebuild was renamed so I just opened the precedent version to confirm.

Hello @Chris26953238qfn0,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind sharing a public link to a sample file you're having trouble with after uploading it to Dropbox/Google Drive/etc., and a screen recording of the problem (https://adobe.ly/44KZn3b), so we can investigate this further?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

The attached screen recording shows the three angled lines with one [60°] dimensioned angle set. I then proceed to set the second [30°] angle. When I attempt to set the third [45°] angle, it fails to work.
