Question

animating variable typefaces

Hi,

I'm working on a project with many variable typefaces, I'm trying to showcase their ability to change and to adapt by animating them through their axis of variability.

How would you suggest I can animate the the typefaces variables? Right now all I can do is move the slider and screen record in illustrator, as only illustrator and photoshop are capable of adjusting variable typefaces.

Any tips or advice, not sure how to do this

Heres a link to what I'm trying to describe.

Dropbox - variable animate.mov

Thanks for the link!

I’ve never coded before and have no idea how I can get started with java script.

Any reccomendations on how I should get started, would I do this kind of thing by copying the code into dreamweaver?

and how would I export that into a movie file?

Using Dreamweaver would be a possibility, but Notepad or TextEdit would actually do. Or Brackets. Or Codepen (a web based service).

Getting it into a movie file might be the harder part. I have no idea how to achieve that.
