Any way to get the old 2D grid (not the perspective grid)?

I work on plans and need a basic pixel grid, not the perspective grid. It used to be an option under "view" (the default grid option), but I can't find it ever since my Illustrator was upgraded. 

I do NOT want to just use the "draw grid" tool (too much time, and it appears as a layer option, not a default anchoring and spacing system, preset to small units). 

Is there any way to get this back??
