Anyone have garbled text on illustrators menu bar?

For some reason half the time mu illustrator gets garbled text on the menu bar.  I've searched and searched and cant find any mention of it from anyone else.

If I select everything... the menu bar ontop gets garbled.  It's mainly the menu bar, but it seems like its other things too - I was playing in options to see if I could find something that could be causing it, and noticed some menus are garbled too.

If I minimize illustrator and bring it back to full screen it fixes.... until I Select everything again, or goto a different menu.  It seems to only happen on my 4K Display.  I somehow fixed it before... but when I upgraded to a new PC it started to do the same thing.

Uninstalling / reinstalling illustrator doesnt fix the issue either.

It's a known issue that has been brought up before, so there's a good chance it will get fixed eventually. For the time being let's be glad you could sort it out, if not perfectly. 😉

Check your system's UI scaling in the display settings. That and of course the usual drill of checking the graphics driver and the hardware acceleration settings in AI. Anything outside that will require exact system information.

Graphics driver is updated, I tried with / without hardware acceleration.

I'm using 2X displays, it does it to both - even if one is disabled. Resolution is 3840 x 2160... if I drop the resolution down, the problem fixes... as soon as I turn it back up, it comes back.

I was on default settings - 150% Scale,  I changed it to 125% Scale and so far it's fixed.. So Illustrator doesn't seem to like 150% scale on 4K monitors. At least not on my system.

That led me to try and fix another problem I was having with a different app I daily drive for printing / production - Turning off scaling in that app fixed my issue I've been battling with / annoyed for a year with! So thanks for that.  Hoping I can delve into it a bit more and fix it so UI Scaling doesnt bork the app, running 4K at 100% text is a bit too tiny..
