Anyway how to check history of file modification ?

Question

I have a problem with my freelance , I found that he steal some people work and sold it to me.

After I contact him , he confirm that me make it from his hand but Im not believe him.

4 hours later he send me a picture of his work from software , but i still not believe him.

So , I want him to show up and check file save together , when it created ? and last time it's modify is when ?

Is anyway to check ?

You can't check file history.There might be hints.Such as naming schemes of swatches: when copying things from different sources, the swatches names might be different, maybe even different languages.Same goes for brushes, symbols, graphic styles.Also: the building of objects themselves might give you hints. But those might only be recognized by a professional user.

What makes you believe the artwork is not original?

Usually people who steal others work are not very knowledgeable and unknowingly leave clues. Though Illustrator does not fill out the meta tags, as a digital camera does for Photoshop, you can do a Shift Option Command I and take a look.

Other clues might be layers or swatches with scrambled letter names mean it this was created in another country that uses an extended character set.
