Question

Apply one gradient style to each word in a paragraph?

I am learning and growing my fluency with gradients! I applied a gradient fill in the Appearance panel to apply this to editable text. Now I wonder if there is a way to do this without having to create 5 different rows of text each with its own gradient fill applied.

An aside - I have been using Lynda to deepen my understanding of Illustrator. Are there other tools or resources you recommend to understand how to use gradients to improve design?

    You're welcome!

It's a little difficult to give you advice on what to learn and where. Perhaps you can tell us a little more about the route you want to take with Illustrator and what kind of jobs you're planning to do.

To have it for each word you could alter the gradient in a way that it goes through the same colors repeatedly.

You could also apply the text as a clippng mask to multiple gradients.
