Are there any new tricks in the Pen tool in 2024?

Wondering if there are any new tricks or hidden features or shortcuts or new onscreen icons associated with the set of related Pen tools (Pen tool, Convert tool, Direct Selection tool) in Illustrator 2024?

One reason I ask is that I thought I spotted a new sub-icon while playing with one of the pen tools. By sub-icon, I mean the small icon that can appear at the lower right of the various Pen tool icons. But now I cannot replicate it. Maybe I was in the web browser beta version? I'm not sure. I thought it looked like this:

The web version has new features for its Quick pen tool. But those icons have curves associated with the cursor.
