Area of a shape in Illustrator CC

Hello,

Is there a way to calculate the Area of any give shape in Illustrator CC?  I have not been able to come across anything surprisingly.  Hope someone can help!

      you need to save the file as Plain Text format, instead of the Rich Text you have now.

      I have tried creating the script file a few times, but each time get the error message below when I go to run the scrip inside Illustrator. I am using Illustrator CC2019 on an Apple Mac, any ideas/help!?

        You can add script  to do that.
