arrange - bring to front send back not working

hi my arrange commands have stopped working both by using the dropdown and also by using shortcuts. I cannot place objects in front or behind. Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi there,

     

    Sorry about the trouble you are facing. I would suggest you try running the app in Safe Mode and launch Illustrator only. Then, open the document, select all the layers or elements you want to send back or bring to the front, and use your commands. In Safe Mode, your system starts to perform certain checks and prevent third-party software/ services from automatically loading or opening. Let us know how it goes.

    my bad. im using illustrator -latest update
