Question

Artboard background color degrading 3D image quality

I am adding Artboard background color after i have my 3D image on the artboard. when doing do, the 3D image then appears to degrade in quality, meaning it seems more pixulated and lines are not as smooth as when i did not have a background. I tried rendering the image, but it did not help much.

Is this normal? Is their anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

There is no artboard background color in Illustrator.

What happens when instead you draw a rectangle and apply a color to it?

Ah ok interesting! the rectangle and color is what i did.

Would you be kind enough to guide me on how to add a color background to a 3D image?

Drawing a rectangle is the correct way.

Can you show screenshts with and without the background element?
