Artboard Has Same Number As Previous

This also happens to me. Also if I try to export using artboards while it is showing a duplicate it won't export one of the duplicates. Quitting illustrator completely and relaunching clears the glitch, but it happens often enough I have to check my artboards before exporting my art. It is totally random which numbers will be duplicated, but if one number is duplicated there's usually another set somewhere that is also. 

My artboard panel will show something like:

1 | Artboard 1

2 | Artboard 1 copy 2

3 | Artboard 1 copy 3

4 | Artboard 1 copy 4

5 | Artboard 1 copy 5

5 | Artboard 1 copy 6

6 | Artboard 1 copy 7

7 | Artboard 1 copy 8

7 | Artboard 1 copy 9

8 | Artboard 1 copy 10

Technically 10 artboards showing as 8. This could be 10 different artboards with 10 different designs, but if I were to export all artboards, only 8 designs would be in the folder. The second duplicate always overwrites the first one when exporting. All of this very much messes up my workflow.
