Artboard Layout View vs Actual Print View

So I'm hoping someone here can help me with a slight issue I'm having when it comes to viewing vs printing a multipage document in Illustrator. When I print up the pdf, it prints up with the part seen highlighted on the example 1 image. But when I open the file in illustrator, that part is missing and it looks like the example 2 image. Can anyone please tell me how I can make that highlighted part show up in my workspace view?

Look like these are 2 pages. Aren't those margins the printer margins?
