Artwork is missing after hitting Perspective tool accidentally in Illustrator 2018

While preparing a poster in my iMac's adobe illustrator CC 22.0.1 I accidentally hit the "perspective grid" and all illustrations are gone, now without the grid. I can only see bounding boxes and text.

    Hi Marianela,

Thanks for reaching out. As per your query, all the artwork and images are gone after hitting the perspective grid tool. That is definitely not a usual behavior. I am hopeful that the issue is resolved by the steps shared above. If not, I would request if you can share the file with us. You can upload it to the creative cloud and share the direct download link.

This way I will be able to check the file at my end and try to recover if there is any kind of file corruption.

I must also inform that file recovery can't be guaranteed with a 100% success. We'll surely try our best.

    Regards,

I would suggest that you might have hit cmd + Y and gone into Outline view. Hitting that again would take you back to Preview, which I think is where you would prefer to be.

You can show/hide the perspective grid under the View > Perspective Grid menu.

If you don't see your illustration you may have deleted it. If you haven't closed your file, you could simply Edit > Undo.

If you closed your file without saving it, you may be able to recover it if you have Automatically Save Recovery Data turned on in Preferences.

Another possibility is that your illustration is still there but you are viewing it in Outline view. If that is the case, you can turn Preview back on under the View menu.
