Asset Export not exporting with transparent background

Why is it exporting with a white background and why is there no way to change that?!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Could you confirm the version of the OS/Illustrator installed and if this happens with all files and if the problem persists if the exported file is previewed using a different application, so I can better assist you?
