Asset Export panel not remembering file names

So, I add a bunch of assets to the Assets Export panel, name the assets and then Export. When I open the AI file at a later date, the names given to the assets have disappeared. Now, I have to go find the file names and rename EVERY assets in the panel.

Am I missing something here is or this working as intended.

If you quit illustrator, make sure you click on the assets tab, and they shovel be there. After quitting illustrator it goes back to the Artboards tab, which had me fooled for a moment.
