Astute Symbol Stipplism not working on Illustrator

Hi,

I have downloaded the Astute plug-in "stipplism" for Illustrator. I am able to use the stipple effect no problem, however when I try to use the symbol stipple effect (as is done in Astute tutorials) things start to go wrong. Instead of my selected shape being covered with a stipple effect, the shape appears to simply disappear.

I was wondering if it is something to do with my set up, I have the latest CC illustrator downloaded, using a Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 700. I followed the plug-in download steps as noted on the Astute website.

Has anyone else experienced this, or think they could know why I cannot achieve the symbol stipple effect?

Forgive my naivety as I am not the best with computers.

Try fairly drastically reducing the overall scale and increasing the density in the Symbol Stipple panel.

You will need to share a screenshot that contains the setup in your Stpplism options.
