automating a template build out to reproduce an image for multiple sports teams

Hello! So I work for a sports apparel design company and we we are trying to find out is if there is a way we can essentially take an art design/template in illustrator, and then reproduce that same same template for a number of different college and professional teams without having to manually change the template for each team? We would have a database of all different forms of verbiage and pms colors  relating to the schools and teams and would like illustrator to be able to take that information and then input it in the template and then export an AI file for each team.
