Bahnschrift font reverting to Myriad Pro

I just made a graphic in Illustrator the other day using the Bahnschrift font and it was working fine.

Today, I create a new text box, type, highlight the words, and select Bahnschrift from the drop-down menu and it automatically reverts to Myriad Pro. All the other fonts I have tried are working. I just updated Illustrator to the most recent version and it's still happening. Help!

Please tell us which system this is.

What kind of font file is Bahnschrift?

Do you use font management? Which one?

I am working on a PC.

I'm not sure what kind of font file Bahnschrift is. It just came preloaded into Adobe. I've never loaded in any additional fonts, I just use what comes with the program.

I do not use font management.

OK, I found it on Wikipedia. So Bahnschrift is a Windows system font.

Illustrator is very peculiar about fonts. Maybe Microsoft changed something about that font in some Windows update? Curently on a Mac, so I can't test it.
