Question

Batch Convert Group of Pics

So I have a bunch of JPG and PNG pictures that I need to adjust in multiple ways, and I'm hoping I can do some sort of batch processing on all the images so I don't have to manually go through the process on each one.

  1. Make sure the picture has a rounded edges (all 4 edges) with a feather of approximately 10px
  2. Export the image at a resolution/quality such that it is no larger than 500kb

The images have varying resolutions and file sizes, but none of them currently have rounded edges. I'm happy to use Adobe Photoshop instead if that is the better answer to this. Greatly appreciate any help! !

The first problem would be that your images all have different resolution and sizes. If you give them a standard rounded edge with a feather of 10 px the result will be different after exporting to a unified resolution. I would suggest to bring your images to a unified size (e.g. horizontal 300 px, vertical size may vary) and a unified resolution. After that you apply the effects.

I think an Image editor is better equipped for this task.

You can create an Action that rounds the corners and feathers the edges and save this Action as a Droplet.

But Photoshop does not have an option to limit the file size to 500K.

Lightroom does and Lightroom has an option to add Photoshop droplets to the Export Actions folder.

A combination of Photoshop and Lightroom might do the trick.
