Batch relinking in Links window no longer works

For as long as I can remember, selecting multple files in the Links window and hiting relink causes illustrator to prompt you for a new file for each linked image slected. Now it only relinks one image, and disregards the rest of the selected files. This is a massive problem as I have templates with up to 50 artboards, which we change by linking new images. Doing it one by one is a massive waste of time.

How do i get this functionality back?

There is an option" search for missing links in this folder " when you relink a missing file ( see below )

Thanks for your reply, but in my case the files are not missing. I intentionally want to change them.
