batch replace linked images with the same name

Is there any way to replace linked files with the same name at once with another image.

If I have a sheet of 200 stickers and there are 8 (or more) different designs. I use the link function to not get a to heavy document to print and cut. Also, if the design changes I can update all 200 at once. But if I want to link the image with a new one I have to do this 200x.

Is there any way to do this all at once.

Linked document(s) X -> relink with document(s) Z

Thank you.

Do all 200 have the same name? If so, it should work.

If you remove linked image x and put another image in the same place and rename it to x it should automatically change when you open the Illustrator document.

Dear Ton,

Thank you for your fast reply and input. I already know and tried that option but that is not optimal for this case. Workable but not ideal. Ideal would be if all 200 could be replaced at once with the original document.

Again, thank you for your reply. I hope there will be a function in AI in the future that will solve this issue.
