Beginner need help with File info / Copyright

Hello,

 

I am kinda new with Illustrator and wanted to ask a few questions about File info / Copyright.

 

When I go to File > File Info , I can fill all the data, but I don't know what should I fill or Should I fill everything... So it would be great if someone could help me with patience.

 

Let's begin with the first tab of Basic.

  1. What is the difference between Author and Author Title ?
  2. Description section is a description of a project or a description of me / company ?
  3. What do these stars mean next to Rating ?
  4. What is Description Writer ?

 

The next tabs are Origin and IPTC.

  1. Both have Data Created, City, Country and etc... Do I need to fill the same thing in both tabs?
  2. In Origin tab, there is Credit Line and Source. What are those and what (if) I should fill in them?
  3. In IPTC tab, there are sections like IPTC Contact, IPTC Image and etc. with the same things like Data Created, City, Country and etc... Do I need to fill the same thing over and over again in every field?

If you open the File Info window, you can see descriptions as tooltips when you hover over an item name.

    Thanks, that's useful! But I still would like to get more advice with my questions.

    Also, when I hover over, in many places it says "image". Does this count for logos?

    What you need to fill in depends on what you want to use it for (or expect others to use it for).

    I don't think yo want to fill in every field.

    I cannot replicate the "image" you get when you hover over a name.

    Can you show a screendump?

    Those are standard codes. They are relevant if your work gets managed in databases, especially news databases.
