Best Practices for Exporting Adobe Creative Assets for Messaging Apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.)

Hello Adobe Community,

I’m interested in optimizing workflows between Adobe Creative tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.) and messaging apps such as Original WhatsApp  and Telegram.

Specifically, I’d like to discuss:

  • Export settings that ensure images, videos, and GIFs retain quality while staying within the size limits of messaging apps.

  • Recommended file formats and compression techniques (for example: JPEG vs. PNG for images, MP4 vs. MOV for video).

  • How to best prepare short animations or motion graphics in After Effects for smooth playback on messaging platforms.

  • Efficient workflows for quickly sharing design drafts, branding assets, or client previews through mobile messaging apps.

Has anyone developed:

  1. Preset export settings tailored for messaging apps?

  2. Automation or scripts to speed up exporting and sharing?

  3. Tips on maintaining color accuracy and resolution when content is compressed by these platforms?

Looking forward to hearing about your workflows, techniques, or any best practices that help bridge Adobe tools with modern messaging apps.

Thanks,

Hello @WAPlusz,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind trying the suggestions shared in these help articles to see if they help with your workflow:

The recommended color space for the web is sRGB, and videos can be encoded using the H264 codec (which is the most compatible).

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
