Best way to use online storage - google drive or dropbox
We use google drive for most of our file storage and each user has the folders they need synced to their local desktop. They make changes and then these changes are uploaded / synced back to the online drive. This works well in every way bar file locking with adobe cs products. If a user opens a psd or ai file, the file is not locked properly and permits someone else to open that file and make changes at the same time and then corrupt / makes a mess of the file on the online storage. Bar the manual task of informing people that they need to organise themselves to not open each others files, is there a better way to manage the files with these services. I thought that the lock file would also sync up to the online storage which would then appear on everyone elses machines and block them from opening the file. However this doesnt seem to be the case.
