🙏Bitte um Hilfe! Leistung vorhanden, aber Illustrator hängt... 😭

Hallo liebe Community,

 

ich wende mich an euch, weil ich kurz vor der Verzweiflung stehe und nicht mehr weiter weiß. Ich arbeite gerne und viel mit Illustrator, aber im jetzigen Zustand ist es nur noch ein Krampf.

Alle bisherigen Hilfestellungen / Tipps aus dem Netz haben noch keine Lösung gebracht und ich hoffe, hier weitere Tipps oder Lösungsvorschläge von euch zu erhalten.

 

Problembeschreibung:

Kurz und knapp: Ich kann nicht ohne Ruckeln ein-/auszoomen oder verschieben (siehe Video anbei). Manchmal klappt es flüssiger, aber nur für kurze Zeit. Dann fängt es wieder an zu ruckeln. Dabei spielt es keine Rolle, ob es sich um eine große oder kleine Datei handelt, oder ob sie lokal oder über das Netzwerk geöffnet wird. Ich habe meinen Laptop erst seit ein paar Monaten und ordentlich investiert, damit es nicht an Leistung mangelt. 

 

System:

  • Adobe Illustrator CC (Version 28.5)
  • Windows 11 Pro, 23H2
  • Lenovo Thinkbook
  • CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900H 2.60 GHz
  • RAM: 32GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU

 

Bisher ausprobiert:

  • Leistung auf "Beste Leistung" gesetzt (siehe Screenshot)
  • Grafikeinstellung für Illustrator angepasst (siehe Screenshot)
  • In der NVIDIA Systemsteuerung die GPU für Illustrator zugewiesen (siehe Screenshot)
  • Illustrator neu installiert

 

Wer hat weitere Ideen, was ich noch ausprobieren könnte?

    I had a very long conversation with Gemini, but finaly found a solution:

    Fixed: Adobe Illustrator Zoom Lag/Stutter on Windows (Multi-Monitor & DPI Scaling Issue)

    If you are experiencing a 1-2 second lag every time you zoom in or out in Adobe Illustrator, even though your hardware is powerful and other apps like Photoshop or Premiere run perfectly, the issue is likely a DPI scaling conflict between Windows and Illustrator's GPU performance.

    The Problem

    When using multiple monitors (e.g., a laptop and an external screen) with different Windows scaling factors (e.g., 175% on the laptop and 150% on the monitor), Illustrator’s GPU renderer struggles to recalculate the vector paths and the UI grid simultaneously. This causes the "thinking pause" during every zoom tick.

    The Solution (Step-by-Step)

    1. Close Adobe Illustrator.
    2. Locate the Illustrator.exe file on your computer.
      • Default path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2026\Support Files\Contents\Windows
    4. Right-click on Illustrator.exe and select Properties.
    5. Go to the Compatibility tab.
    6. Click on Change high DPI settings.
    7. At the bottom, check the box: "Override high DPI scaling behavior."
    8. In the dropdown menu "Scaling performed by:", select Application.
      • Note: This forces Illustrator to handle the scaling itself instead of letting Windows "stretch" the GPU output.
    10. Click OK and restart Illustrator.

      Hast Du das Problem schon in den Griff bekommen? Ich habe ähnliche Performance / Ruckelprobleme mit Illustrator seit den letzten 2 Updates und weiß mir keinen Rat. Auch die Neuinstallation hat zu nichts geführt. Allerdings arbeite ich auf einem Mac Pro M1. Jahrelang lief es problemlos.

        Hallo Daniel,
        ich konnte das Problem zumindest eingrenzen und so in den Griff bekommen, dass ich nur noch mit dem Original-Netzteil vom Notebook arbeite. Anscheinend gibt die Docking-Station nicht genug Power weiter...

          Hello @Ma5544,

          Sorry to hear about your experience and for the delayed response. I hope the problem is resolved by now. If not, would you mind performing a clean reinstallation of both the Intel / NVIDIA GPU drivers and checking if it helps?


          Also, try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows) and share your observations.

          Das ist nur beim Zoomen und Scrollen? Oder generell?

          Hilft es, die Echtzeitdarstellung auszuschalten?

          Beim Zoomen und Scrollen merke ich es am deutlichsten. Aber auch wenn ich z. B. mit dem Pinsel arbeite, hängt er etwas nach.  Das Ausschalten der Echtzeitdarstellung bringt leider nichts.
