black showing as grey after saving an Illustrator file as a PDF

Working in the newest illustrator but having a little PDF colour problem. Every time i save a file in illustrator as a PDF, areas that are black are coming up grey and not the black that is shown in illustrator. Can anyone help out with this problem?
