Blank Screen on Illustrator on Mac OS

When I open the illustrator app everything is blank.

When I try and open a new document basically samething, the new document window opens but I can not see anything or choose anything.

I’m sorry to hear you’re still having trouble with this. Would you mind trying the following steps and checking if they help:

- Close all Adobe applications.
- Rename the UXP folder to UXP.old from the following location:
(Windows) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP
(macOS) Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP

- Relaunch Illustrator

If the problem persists, kindly share more details, such as the exact versions of the OS/Illustrator, system configuration (CPU/GPU/Memory), and a screen recording of the issue, so we can investigate further.

I had already changed my uxp folder to uxp.old the other month to solve another problem illustrator was having. What is the next solution?

En windows sucede lo mismo, desinstale la aplicación y volví a instalar desde creative cloud, así se soluciono el problema.

@EdduVaz Bless your heart. Illustrator and Photoshop where giving me the black screen of death after the Big Sur upgrade and this is the only this that worked!

I was starting to get into full panic mode, as I have a major project due. HOLY FACK this is not a cool bug at all.

Sorry to hear about this issue. I understand how frustrating it could be. Let us help you fix this. Please try following these steps one by one and let us know how it goes:

Rename CEP folder from /Library/Application Support/Adobe to CEP.old
If that doesn't help, rename extensions folder from /Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP to extensions.old
If that doesn't help either, uninstall the application using Cleaner tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html) and reinstall from the Creative Cloud Desktop app (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/using/download-creative-cloud-apps.html).

None of this worked. Nothing but a white screen and wasted time. Current machine: OS X Big Sur 11.4 (was occuring before the latest update, today 5/24/2021) and on PC: win10 64bit. Everything up to date.

This is disappointing. Any more ideas??
