Blank/white screen when opening document from home screen in 24.0.1

Question

Window seems to be the home screen. If I select a recent document from the home screen the window appears and the document opens behind it. Nothing is locked out and all I have to do is close the window.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I'd recommend resetting the preferences. You may follow the instructions given on help article: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html#setting_illustrator_preferences

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.
