Blend tool not working properly? PLEASE HELP

Hi community,

I'm trying blend text with a rectangle box behind it but having no luck? Is there something wrong with my Illustrator as it worked the day before but not anymore? Any help would be greatly welcomed.

Can you please show a view of the layers panel? With the obejcts visible inside it?

All sorted! I realised what I was doing wrong. I didn't group the text and rectangle. Thanks for help thou;-)

Is it live text? Or outlined?

The stacking order of the two groups needs to be identical.
