Why is this happening with the blob brush? I am using xp pen deco 03

Do you get a similar effect in Photoshop (or other application with pressure varied stroke)? If so it can be a hardware problem. (could it be that you are moving faster as you finish the stroke and that is being interpreted as pushint the tip).

No, only in illustrator.

Could you see if you get the same kind of artifacting with say the caligraphic brush (the Wacom 6D brushes).
What aspects of the brush are you recording? Does it respont to Tilt? To Bearing?

Is there a preasure response curve in your operating system so that you can se how it respondsto your movements (It is a little tricky because there is hardware driver, Operating System and Software that all have to work as a team)

One more question, does it make any difference if your hand rests on the tablet as oposed to just the pen touching it?
